Description
The area is an east-west running basin laying at the northeast end of Beacon Valley. The basin has a flat bottom, which steepens into vertical rock faces and high angle dirt slopes. The dirt sections have polygonal cracks which are typical of the McMurdo Dry Valleys
Objective
Long water runnels in the steep dirt are the primary interest of the survey, as well as the valley bottom, which has the remains of a small, dried-up pond
