Description
The survey site located in a 1 km zone around the Kiwi transition at McMurdo Station, Antarctica. The site contains a steep undercut scarp that intersects the Ross Ice Shelf. At the location a road transitions onto the Ross Ice Shelf ice surface. The ice surface here is subject to daily tidal fluctuations and is near a shear zone producing ice pressure ridges.
