Project: Boulder Earthflow (U-055)
  • PI: Dr. Suzanne Anderson
  • Project Lead: Francis Rengers
  • Funding Source: NSF-EAR 1331828
Project Site: Wonderland Lake Earthflow (PS01)
Field Start Date: May 4, 2021
Field End Date: May 4, 2021

Field Engineer: Samuel Beane
Site Notes: The site contains two earthflows which are accessed via a 10 min hike from the Wonderland Lake Trailhead in Boulder, CO. A prominent ridge between the earthflows provides convenient terrain for reflective targets. Frequent paragliding activity at the site has restricted the use of UAV-based surveys, and terrestrial laser scanning (TLS) has been carried out as an alternative solution. Access to the site has been granted by the City of Boulder, and a research permit was obtained by the PI.
Other Personnel: Dr. Sharon Bywater-Reye, Diana Krupnik, Keith Williams, Ara Metz, Cody DeVrie
