This project broadens geodetic field methods for undergraduate geology students by integrating traditional field observations, structure from motion (SfM) and GNSS data. The area of Red Rock fault near Chute Canyon, MT was chosen as a field site that contains multiple noteworthy geologic processes. Survey data will be used for fault diffusion modeling and seismic risk analysis. This survey is part of a 35-day geology field course held by the University of Houston, and is based out of the University of Montana Western in Dillon, MT
