Project: Digital Recording of the Discovery Hut & Environs (K-170) Project Site: Discovery Hut (PS01)
Field Start Date: Dec. 7, 2019
Field End Date: Dec. 7, 2019

Field Engineer: Spencer Niebuhr
Site Notes: Hut Point is a small point lying at the tip of Hut Point Peninsula, which projects south-west along the flanks of Mount Erebus, an active volcano located on Ross Island, Antarctica. In recent years, the point has experienced significant coastal erosion, bringing into question the stability of the landform and the threat it may pose to these two important landmarks.
