U-015 - Landscape Response to Four Mile Fire

PI: Dr. John Moody
Project Lead: Francis Rengers
Funding Source: NSF/EAR 0952247
Location: Four Mile Canyon, Boulder, Colorado
Dates: 2012-02-28 to 2012-02-28

Project Summary

The goal of this terrestrial LiDAR project is to determine the spatial distribution of sediment erosion and deposition within a hillslope/channel geomorphic unit after a wildfire by differencing several LiDAR datasets. Data sets were collected before any significant rainfall while others were collected after major hydrological runoff events such as snowmelt, frontal rainstorms, and convective rainstorms.
